Ralph Leo6 Diederich (Antone ______5, John4, Johann Nicolaus3, Paul2, Johann Nicolaus1) was born 16 July 1902 at Rudolph, Wood County, Wisconsin, the son of Antone ______ and Mary ______ (Klipstein) Diederich. His birth is recorded in Wood County birth records.

He died 14 August 1968, age 66, as a result of a car accident, at Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin. The funeral was held 17 August at St. Joseph Shrine at West DePere. Reverend Alphonsus Francis Charles Diederich, Ralph's brother, said the Mass, and he is buried in St. Benedict's Cemetery at Suamico, Brown County, Wisconsin. Mary Martin was born 3 June 1909 at Green Bay, Brown County, Wisconsin, the daughter of Michael Francis and Emily ______ (Ullmer) Martin. Her birth is recorded in Brown County birth records.

She died 14 August 1968, age 59, as a result of a car accident, at Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin. The funeral was held 17 August at St. Joseph Shrine at West DePere. Ralph's parents moved to Suamico about 1915, when he was 13 years old. In 1928, Ralph moved to Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. He was an executive in the grocery business there for 29 years.

In 1956, he moved to West DePere, Brown County, Wisconsin, and acquired an interest in the American Motors dealership at Green Bay. He operated this business until his death.

On the morning of 14 August 1968, the Diederichs left West DePere for Albany, Wisconsin, to get a new auto for a customer and planned to return that day. They were traveling south on U.S. Highway 15, toward Waupun, when they were struck by an oncoming car driven by Mrs. Helen A. Johnson of Portage, Wisconsin. Mrs. Johnson, who was also killed in the head-on collision, had just passed a truck when she swerved into the Diederichs' lane.

The Diederichs resided at 57 Lost Dauphin Road, West DePere, Wisconsin.

The Diederichs had three children:
