This family portrait was taken in 1890 before Clara was born.
Joseph, son of John and Anna (Clasen) Diederich was the second child
born in Wisconsin after his parents migrated from Germany. He married Anna Catherine
Ostermann 2 May 1871 at De Pere, Wisconsin. On 12 March 1878 Joseph moved his wife
and children, John and Anna Mary to Fillmore County, Nebraska and established his
homestead. Joseph and Anna had seven children. |
