France during 1918 was wounded on 4 October 1918 went to hospital in Vicy, France, for three weeks was released and was with said Co (?) for four days and got wounded again on 7 November 1918. Received the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf cluster also citation for gallantry in action signed Major General Summerall and honory Certificate signed by President Woodrow Wilson. Sent home with a hospital unit 24 December 1918 from Brest France and was discharged 19 February 1919 with disability.
