She taught school for many years at Ladysmith and was superintendent of schools at Shawano, Shawano County, Wisconsin.

Wilbur McNeil served as a private first-class in Company F, 128th Infantry Regiment, 32nd Division during World War I. He was a farmer, worked on the railroad, and served as a mail carrier.
